Independent Rights and Resources, in partnership with Alabama Disabilities Advocacy Program (ADAP), proudly presents the Selma Pop-Up Disability Resource Fair — a community-driven event designed to uplift and empower individuals with disabilities in the Selma area.

This event will connect attendees with essential services, including healthcare access, housing support, vocational training, and legal resources for disability rights. Together, we’re working to remove barriers and create a more inclusive, informed, and supportive environment for people of all abilities.

Come join us for a day of advocacy, community, and celebration — complete with giveaways, food, and local vendors. Let’s build a stronger, more equitable Selma, one connection at a time.

Engaging Events & Community Connections

At Independent Rights and Resources, we believe that social engagement is a key part of independent living. That’s why we host a variety of fun, inclusive events that bring people together, build friendships, and create lasting memories.

From our Chat and Chew gatherings, where individuals can connect over good food and conversation, to picnics, bowling nights, golfing outings, and holiday celebrations, there’s always something exciting happening at our center. These events provide a welcoming space for socializing, developing new skills, and fostering a strong sense of community.

Whether you’re looking to meet new friends, try something new, or just enjoy a great time in a supportive environment, we invite you to join us at our next event and be part of the fun!
